City of Philadelphia Closing Municipal Offices At 2 pm Monday
Nasty weather is heading our way, city officials said all municipal offices will close early Monday. But some court services will stay open.

PHILADELPHIA – Nasty weather is heading to the Philadelphia region Monday afternoon and evening, likely causing hazardous driving conditions in the area.
Thus, the City of Philadelphia is closing its municipal offices at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8.
All First Judicial District courts will also close at 2 p.m., as well.

However, all critical court services – Arraignment Court; Bail Acceptance; and Emergency Protection from Abuse – are expected to remain operational, officials said.

The decision to close any court in session will be made by the presiding judge or appointing authority, the city said.
The School District of Philadelphia also closed early Monday due to the predicted weather.
