Community Rallies To Give Erin Schweikert Proper Burial
After Erin Schweikert, 18, was found dead in a Philadelphia basement, the community is rallying to give her a proper burial.

PHILADELPHIA — Erin Schweikert was found dead in the basement of a Philadelphia home last week after going missing back in September. Now, the community is rallying to give the late 18-year-old woman a proper burial.
Schweikert's body was found in a bin in the basement of a home 2100 block of Porter Street in South Philadelphia on Jan. 17.
She was reported missing Sept. 27.

Now, a GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help give the young woman a dignified goodbye.
"Erin sadly leaves behind her beautiful daughter, a sister and a mother whom all love her unconditionally," the campaign reads. "So, we as the family and friends of Erin are setting up a fund to help Lisa give her babygirl, a final resting place."

As of Wednesday, more than $18,000 of the $25,000 goal has been raised.
Police said Schweikert's death was accidental, but filed charges against a 25-year-old woman who lives at the home Schweikert's body was found in.
