DUI Hit-And-Run At Philly City Hall Leaves 2 Hurt, Driver Charged
A 63-year-old man is accused of hitting two men in their 30s and 50s at City Hall while driving under the influence Thursday night.
PHILADELPHIA — Two men were hurt in a suspected DUI hit-and-run crash right at Philadelphia's City Hall Thursday night.
The crash happened at about 8:30 p.m. at Market and Juniper streets near City Hall, police said.
A white Lincoln SUV was heading north around City Hall when the driver lost control.

The vehicle jumped the curb and struck two male pedestrians, one in his 30s and one in his 50s, who were waiting to cross the street. Police said the men are unrelated and did not know one another.
Numerous people saw the crash, police said, and they flagged police in the area down to tell them what happened.

Police saw the vehicle, stopped it about 17 blocks away from the scene, and took its driver into custody.
The driver, a 63-year-old man, showed signs of intoxication and will be charged with DUI and related crimes, according to police.
Both the victims suffered serious injuries to their lower bodies, mostly, police said. The man in his 50s is in serious condition, while the man in his 30s is in stable condition, police said.
