Eat A Hershey's Chocolate Bar, Share An Emoji
Hershey's Announces Design Change For Iconic Chocolate Bar
For the first time in The Hershey Company's 125-year history, its iconic chocolate bar is getting a modern day makeover. The Hershey, Pennsylvania-based candy company has announced it is replacing the design on its popular milk chocolate bar with 25 popular emojis.
The candy maker says the new Hershey's Milk Chocolate Emoji Bars will feature 25 of the most popular emojis across six different packaging designs, all meant to be collected, shared and of course eaten.
Hershey's says fans of the chocolate bars may wonder which emojis made the cut to appear
on the surface design of the candy. The company says each emoji was carefully selected by parents and children alike to feature the meaning that would help spark a conversation. Research showed that 87-percent of the kids agreed that the new Hershey's Emoji Bar is something they would want to share with others.

In announcing the design change, Kriston Ohm, senior manager for Hershey's, says the chocolate bars were made to be shared with others noting “that by adding an emoji design to each pip of chocolate, we hope that parents and kids are inspired to share a chocolate emoji and make a
connection with someone new.”
A smiley face, thumbs-up and clapping hands are among the symbols gracing the top of the chocolate bars.
