Ramp To Ben Franklin Bridge, 6th Street Closed For Presidential Debate
The closures come earlier than expected Tuesday as Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump get ready to debate.

PHILADELPHIA — Roads have closed earlier than planned Tuesday in Philadelphia as Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump head to the city for their first presidential debate together.
According to PennDOT, the eastbound Interstate 676 off-ramp towards Benjamin Franklin Bridge and 6th Street is closed. During the closure, drivers will be directed to use the Betsy Ross Bridge and the Walt Whitman Bridge.
Sixth Street is closed between Callowhill and Market streets. Drivers traveling in both directions on Interstate 95 will be directed to use the Betsy Ross Bridge or the Walt Whitman Bridge.

The debate will start at 9 p.m. at the National Constitution Center at Sixth and Arch streets in Philadelphia.
Once the event ends and the security perimeter is gradually deconstructed, Sixth Street and the eastbound I-676 off-ramp will reopen.

Philadelphia city streets will also gradually reopen.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the road restrictions because backups and delays will occur.
