Migrants Being Bussed To Philadelphia, Texas Governor Says
Texas Governor Greg Abbott confirmed Tuesday that migrants will arrive at 30th Street Station Wednesday morning.

PHILADELPHIA — Texas Governor Greg Abbott Tuesday confirmed migrants are being bussed from his state to Philadelphia.

Buses are also taking migrants to Washington, D.C., New York City and Chicago.

In a statement, Abbott said the bussing will of migrants to "sanctuary cities" continue "until the Biden Administration does its job and provides Texas and the American people with sustainable border security."
"Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney has long celebrated and fought for sanctuary city status, making the city an ideal addition to Texas' list of drop-off locations," the statement reads.

"We will welcome them with open arms and do everything we can to make the transition smooth," Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney said, according to Action News. "It doesn't matter whether they found their way up here, whether they were put on a bus -- they are human beings. They want to be in America. They want to do what all of our, most of our ancestors have done, is just make their life in America."
Word of the migrant bus coming to Philadelphia spread over the weekend.
City officials told Fox 29 that various agencies are working with community organizations to welcome the migrants.
The migrants, all asylum seekers, will be eligible to apply for work permits five to six months after arriving in the United States, NBC10 reports.
