Here are the top stories today in Philadelphia:

  1. Cherell Parker is "building up" her political endorsements. The democrat running for mayor just scored a huge nod from the Philadelphia Building Trades Unions who gave her their support, fundraising and poll workers for Election Day. (WHYY)
  2. An FBI agent allegedly shot a pit bull that was attacking or in a fight with another dog on Monday night in the Rittenhouse Square area. Jacqueline Maguire, agent in charge of the Philadelphia FBI Office since 2021, has no charges filed against her in connection with the incident, court records show. The FBI confirmed one of its agents shot an "aggressive" dog as Philadelphia Police investigate. (PA Patch)
  3. If you own a Kia or Hyundai, Tik Tok is making it pretty easy to steal your car. A video on the social media channel, shared millions of times, shows how easy it is to "hotwire" the cars by jamming a USB cable into the steering column. Philly Police urge these car owners to use extra protection such as steering wheel and brake locks to prevent the thefts. (PA Patch).

  • It's doggin us — an FBI agent/dog shooting in Rittenhouse Square story. Billy Penn put out a more in depth reporting of the incident and digs deeper into the gun laws and "aggressive animals." (billypenn.com)
  • Have an Android phone? Your friends in group chat really hate you. Check out this LOL hit piece on Android users from Crossing Broad. Apparently, a green message bubble is now worse than coughing without a mask on an airplane circa Summer 2020. ( Crossing Broad)
