PennDOT Reminds Drivers Of Closures For Presidential Debate In Philly
Once the event ends and the security perimeter is deconstructed, Sixth Street will reopen, and Philadelphia city streets will also reopen.

PHILADELPHIA — PennDOT is reminding drivers of traffic impacts in Philadelphia related to the presidential debate Tuesday.
Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump will debate at 9 p.m. in the National Constitution Center at Sixth and Arch streets in Philadelphia.

Beginning at midnight Tuesday, Sixth Street will be closed between Callowhill and Market streets.
During the closure, drivers on the eastbound I-676 off ramp to Sixth Street will only have access to the Benjamin Franklin Bridge.

Drivers traveling in both directions on I-95 will be directed to use the Betsy Ross Bridge or the Walt Whitman Bridge.
At about 7 p.m. Tuesday, the eastbound I-676 off ramp towards Benjamin Franklin Bridge and Sixth Street will be closed.
During the closure, drivers will be directed to use the Betsy Ross Bridge and the Walt Whitman Bridge.
Then at about 11 p.m. the eastbound I-676 off ramp to Sixth Street will reopen. However, motorists will only have access to the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, as Sixth Street between Callowhill Street and Market Street will remain closed.
Drivers going in both directions on I-95 will be directed to use the Betsy Ross Bridge or the Walt Whitman Bridge.
Once the event ends and the security perimeter is fully deconstructed, Sixth Street will reopen, and Philadelphia city streets will also gradually reopen.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the road restrictions because backups and delays will occur.
