Philly's Own Boyz II Men Playing The Met In February

The rhythm and blues group formed in Philadelphia back in the 1980s is coming to The Met in February for a Valentine's Day weekend show.

PHILADELPHIA — Boyz II Men is coming home to Philadelphia for a special Valentine's Day weekend show at The Met.

Nathan Morris, Shawn Stockman, and Wanya Morris will perform Saturday, Feb. 11 at The Met during their annual Valentine’s Day Weekend visit to the iconic theater on North Broad Street.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday at Ticketmaster.com.

The four-time Grammy winning group formed in the 1980s at the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts.

Throughout their 30-year career, Boyz II Men have also won nine American Music Awards, nine Soul Train Awards, three Billboard Awards, and a 2011 MOBO Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, as well and a Casino Entertainment Award for their acclaimed residency at the Mirage Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, which launched in 2013.

The trio is the best-selling R&B group of all time, with 64 million albums sold.

Boyz II Men’s past hits include “End of the Road,” “I’ll Make Love to You,” “One Sweet Day,” “Motownphilly” and many others.

In 2011, Boyz II Men marked their 20th anniversary by releasing a landmark album, "Twenty."

The album contains the group’s first original material in nearly a decade, as well as a dozen remastered hits.
