Roads Near Lincoln Financial Field Closing Sunday For Eagles Game
In an effort to keep fans from gathering outside the Linc during the Eagles home opener Sunday, several roads in the area are closing.

PHILADELPHIA — Several roads in the South Philadelphia sports complex area are closing Sunday in an effort to keep people from gathering outside the Eagles home opener.
City officials said Wednesday that fans won't be able to tailgate outside of Lincoln Financial Field as the Birds play at the Linc against the Los Angeles Rams.
Part of the effort to prevent fans form gathering in the sport complex area includes closing roads.

The city will close several roads in the area of 7th to Broad and Packer to Interstate 95.
Below are road that will be closed from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday:

- South 11th Street
- closed to traffic both ways (Pattison Avenue to Terminal Avenue)
- Pattison Avenue
- closed to traffic both ways (South Broad Street to South 7th Street)
- South 10th Street
- closed to traffic southbound (Packer Avenue and Hartranft Street a.k.a. "Phillies Way")
- South Darien Street
- closed to traffic southbound (Packer Avenue to Pattison Avenue)

These streets will be closed for each Eagles home game until further notice.
Driver should avoid the area by using alternate routes and allow for extra driving time in areas near the sports complex. Drivers should also refrain from double-parking, which creates congestion, limits traffic flow, and is illegal.
"For the safety of our residents and due to COVID-19 restrictions on large gatherings, tailgating will not be permitted until further notice," said Mayor Jim Kenney. "There are still many ways to enjoy the game safely, and we encourage fans to watch at home with family."
Employees and staff who need to access the sports complex or people patronizing Xfinity Live! should be prepared to present their tickets/ID to Police to gain vehicular or pedestrian access during the street closures.
