Suspected Driver Sought In Deadly Philly Hit-And-Run

Philadelphia Police released photos of the suspected driver in Tuesday's fatal hit-and-run on Ogontz Avenue.

PHILADELPHIA — Police in Philadelphia released more images of the vehicle that struck and killed a 47-year-old man Tuesday, as well as who they believe is the suspected driver.

The crash occurred at about 11:10 a.m. Tuesday on the 7900 block of Ogontz Avenue.

Police said Toby Maurice Bryant, 47, of the block of 1500 McKinley Street, was struck by a silver 2005-2007 Ford Five Hundred.

Bryant was pronounced dead minutes later at 11:18 p.m.

According to police, the vehicle was heading north on Ogontz when it struck Bryant, who police said was crossing against the light and outside the crosswalk.

Police said surveillance footage showed Bryant's body was dragged by the vehicle for 30 to 40 feet and was struck so hard his shoes flew off.

The driver, who police said is depicted above, stopped assessed the vehicle's damage, then continued driving north on Ogontz.

Police said the vehicle may have front-end and windshield damage, as well as preexisting damage to the rear driver's side quarter panel.
