Trump Campaign Sues Philly Over Mail-In Voting Offices: Reports

Just a few days after claiming poll watchers were thrown out of a satellite election office, the Trump campaign is suing the city over them.

PHILADELPHIA — The Trump campaign has filed a lawsuit against the city of Philadelphia over its satellite election offices just a few days after President Donald Trump claimed poll watchers were thrown out of the offices.

The lawsuit echoes the president's now infamous comment about Philadelphia, claiming "bad things are happening in Philadelphia."

Trump Tuesday during the debate with former Vice President Joe Biden claimed poll watchers were thrown out of the offices.

Officials rebuked the claim, saying the offices are not polling places and that poll watchers have yet to be certified.

These offices will allow voters to register to vote, if needed, request a mail-in ballot in-person, receive it, vote, and return it, all at the same location.

But according to city officials, there is no right under Pennsylvania law to watch people do things such as register to vote or fill out a mail ballot, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. This also applies to certified poll watchers.
