Woman Killed In Fairmount Hit-And-Run Identified, Driver Still Sought

Philadelphia Police said Sharell Holliday was reportedly in a wheelchair when she was fatally struck by a vehicle early Tuesday morning.

PHILADELPHIA — Police in Philadelphia have identified the woman who was killed in a hit-and-run cash earlier this week in the Fairmount section of the city.

Authorities said Sharell Holliday, of the 2500 block of North 32nd Street, was fatally struck at about 1:46 a.m. Tuesday on the 2200 block of Reservoir Drive.

According to police, a vehicle believed to be silver struck Holliday, who was reportedly in a wheelchair.

She was hit so hard that she was thrown to the south side of the block, and authorities told NBC10 one of her boots was found about 100 feet from her body.

Holliday was pronounced dead on scene at 1:56 am.
