After 7-Game Stint, Chesco Woman Wins More Than $140K On 'Jeopardy!'

Chester County's Lisa Schlitt had a six-day win streak that came to a close Monday after she bet everything in final jeopardy.

Lisa Schlitt, a Berywn microbiologist, earned more than $140,000 over seven appearance on the classic trivia game show "Jeopardy!" Unfortunately, Schlitt's reign as "Jeopardy!" champ came to an end Monday night.

Schlitt was in a close race at the end of Monday's game, as she went into final jeopardy with $13,000 and her closest opponent, captioner Jill Rausch of Phoenix, Arizona, had $13,200.

With the category "mythological names," Schlitt bet everything, but failed to get the correct answer: Hades.

Rausch also missed the question, but levied a much safer bet, crowning her the newest "Jeopardy!" champ.

Schlitt bet it all in final jeopardy on her first appearance Friday, Jan. 27. And that paid off well, as Schlitt went on to win a six-day total to $139,100. After taking second place Monday, Schlitt's total winnings are $141,100.
