Another New Brewery Coming Soon In Phoenixville

A new microbrewery is on the way to Phoenixville.

Root Down Brewing Company announced on Saturday that they would be "putting down roots" in the borough coming next spring or summer.

They will be moving into 1 N. Main Street, which is the building next to Molly McGuire's. It's also located just steps away from the Phoenix Village Apartments.

The the deal to bring Reading-based Chatty Monks Brewery to Bridge Street fell through in May, as owners said it was "too much, too soon." They added, however, that they hope to expand to the Steel City at some point.

Root Down will join Iron Hill, Sly Fox, and Stable 12 as the other craft breweries in the area.
