Car Crashed Through Bridge Street Business Trying To Park

The 18-year-old driver accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake, according to police.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — A woman crashed through a business on Bridge Street as she was trying to park, according to Phoenixville Police Department blotters.

The incident occurred on May 19 at around 11:15 a.m.

The driver, a 18-year-old from Chester Springs, was trying to park her 2018 Mercedes-Benz on the 400 block of Bridge Street, authorities said.

She accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake, sending her car smashing into Mike's Automotive. The car left a three-foot hole in the building, police said.

She was issued a ticket for careless driving.
