Car Crashes Into Coventry Mall Sunday

A car lost control and smashed through the front window of the Boscov's Department Store on Sunday afternoon, police said.

NORTH COVENTRY, PA — A car crashed into the Boscov's Department Store at the Coventry Mall over the weekend, authorities said. No injuries were reported during the crash.

The incident occurred on Sunday, July 30 at around 12:16 p.m., police said.

Eleanor Carey, 88, of Linfield, was backing her 2010 Hyundai Elantra out of a parking spot on the south side of Boscov's, according to an incident report.

As she backed out, she lost control of the car, and it jumped the curb, began to spin clockwise, and smashed into the window pane in front of the pane, authorities said.

The car sustained damage but the driver was unhurt. Douglassville Auto Body removed the car from the scene.
