A Chester County teenager has been arrested for printing fraudulent, extremely convincing speeding violations and putting them in mailboxes.

A Chester County teenager has been arrested for allegedly printing fraudulent traffic violations and placing them in mailboxes around town.
The Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department said the letters placed throughout Westtown Township Monday were called "Notices of Infraction" and demanded payment.
The notice stated that cameras had captured the resident's car speeding on East Pleasant Grove Road and that payment of $96 was due by March 26, authorities said.

The suspect, a 16-year-old whose name is being withheld because he is underage, paid close attention to detail: he replicated the Westtown Township seal on the corner of the page, and included a picture of the vehicle in question and its license plate in the notice, police said.
Residents were instructed to leave cash in their mailboxes and to send an email when the cash was ready for pickup.

The suspect's father discovered the fraudulent notices in his house and contacted authorities.
Police remind residents that they do not ask for cash for speeding violations via mailbox drop-off.
