Join us for a special evening with Philadelphia author and Temple University Associate Professor of English and Creative Writing, Liz Moore, whose critically acclaimed novels include The Unseen World and Long Bright River. At the heart of her literary crime thriller, Long Bright River, is the story of two sisters, one a police officer and the other a heroin addict living on the streets. Their story is set against the Kensington section of Philadelphia, which has been rocked by the opioid crisis. Liz Moore will share her inspiration for Long Bright River and answer your questions following her presentation.Long Bright River was an instant New York Times bestseller, as well as an international hit. It also was named best book of the year by NPR, Real Simple, Buzzfeed, and Parade, and chosen as a Good Morning America book club pick.
