Chester County Sheriff's Office Announces 6 Arrests

Six fugitives were arrested by the Chester County Sheriff's Office over the last few weeks.

The Chester County Sheriff's Office was busy throughout January, arresting six wanted felons for a variety of crimes, ranging from probation violation to DUI charges.

Officials released the following arrest reports:

  • On Tuesday, Jan. 31, the unit arrested Michael Coy, 27, of Landenberg, at a residence in the 100 block of Sawmill Road in Landenberg during an early-morning warrant sweep. Coy, wanted for a violation of his county probation, appeared before a judge at the Chester County Justice Center, who ordered Coy back to the Chester County Prison to serve the remainder of his sentence.
  • On Friday, Jan. 27, David Manness, 34, of Honey Brook, was arrested on a warrant at a residence in the 1000 block of Welsh Road in Honey Brook Township. The Fugitive Apprehension Unit received information that Manness was staying at that address and requested the assistance of Pennsylvania State Police troopers from the Embreeville Barracks to serve the warrants. Manness, who was sought by Chester County Adult Probation and Parole for a probation violation, was transported to the Chester County Prison for further disposition.
  • A day earlier, on Thursday, Jan. 26, the unit apprehended Westley Reed, 31, of Landenberg, at a residence in the 400 block of Church Hill Road in Landenberg during another early-morning warrant sweep. Reed, wanted by Chester County Adult Probation and Parole for a violation of his probation, was located hiding within the residence and taken to Chester County Prison for processing.
  • On Friday, Jan. 13, an early morning warrant sweep resulted in the arrest of two wanted subjects. Alexander Rolon, 32, of West Chester Borough, was taken into custody at a residence in the 600 block of Downingtown Pike in West Chester. He was subsequently transported to Chester County Prison for failure to comply with a court order from the Chester County Domestic Relations Office.
  • Brian Hanley, 54, of South Coatesville, was arrested at a residence in the unit block of Wood Street in South Coatesville Borough. Hanley was observed within the residence, but refused to answer the door. Sheriff's deputies entered the residence through a window and apprehended Hanley without further resistance. Hanley, sought by Chester County Adult Probation and Parole for violating his probation, was transported to the Chester County Prison for processing.
  • On Thursday, Jan. 12, Jesse Ward, 55, of Lower Oxford Township, was arrested on two warrants at a residence in the 200 block of Cream Road in Lower Oxford Township. The Chester County Fugitive Apprehension Unit had received information that Ward was staying at that address, and requested the assistance of Pennsylvania State Police troopers from the Avondale Barracks to serve the warrants.Ward, who had evaded capture for 10 years on an outstanding failure-to-appear DUI warrant, was also being sought by the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office on a second warrant. He was transported to the Chester County Prison for processing.
