Chrissy Houlahan Town Hall Canceled Due To Security Risk

The local U.S. Congresswoman had planned to hold a town hall meeting on Thursday.

U.S. Congresswoman Chrissy Houlahan's town hall in Berks County was canceled on Thursday due to a security risk, her office said.

The nature of the risk was not specified.

Houlahan, a Democrat, represents the 6th District, which covers Chester County and part of Berks County, including Reading.

The event was scheduled at GoggleWorks Center for the Arts at the Boscov Film Theatre in Reading.

Houlahan planned to discuss infrastructure issues at the event.

In a Facebook post Thursday evening, she said that the town hall would be rescheduled.

Houlahan became the first woman to represent Chester County in U.S. Congress when she was elected in 2018.
