Nonprofits don't do rollcall. But if they did, MaryAnn Faraci's answer would always be the same.
“Present!”
Before retirement, while working full-time at Vanguard and raising her kids, MaryAnn was showing up — volunteering at PACs, bringing her children, teaching them by example.
Then retirement gave her time. And MaryAnn showed up more.
You'll find her in Ann's Heart's kitchen cutting vegetables or washing ginormous metal bowls, or under Ann's Heart tents handing out fliers, doing whatever needs to be done.
At the Upper Main Line Rotary Club she shows up as the committee chair of Public Relations (admittedly outside her comfort zone) and volunteers at their annual golf tournament fundraiser which netted $150,000 for the community this year.
