PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Multiple credit cards were stolen during a recent movie at the Colonial Theatre, and were then used to make thousands of dollars in purchases, police said.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, June 11 at around 10:30 p.m. A woman noticed that the cards were missing from her purse after the film.

Police guessed that the method used by the thief was a common one: the thief sits in a row behind the victims, drags the purses under the seats, takes the cards, and then replaces the purses before they're ever missed.
