Days After Closing, Phoenixville's Steel City Reportedly Gets New Owners
Steel City is back.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- Just days after closing, Phoenixville's beloved Steel City Coffeehouse has found new owners and is planning on reopening, according to a report.
Local entrepreneurs and marketers Ed Simpson and Laura Vernola finalized a deal to take over the shop on Thursday, the Town Dish said.
They plan on opening up shop again in about two or three weeks, the report states.

The couple, who are getting married in September, have no immediate plans to make major changes to the interior.
The Town Dish interview notes that the pair have been involved in the food and music business for years. They are connected to Grassroots Marketer, which will handle marketing for the coffeehouse and its music events.

The local business posted a note on their Facebook page on May 21 stating that the following day would be a "final jam session."
Steel City has been widely recognized as one of the best venues for local musicians in the area. Routine shows featured up and coming artists multiple nights a week.
They recently hosted a fundraising concert event to raise money to help restore the Phoenixville mural, which is attached to the side wall of their building.
