Drunk Phoenixville Man Busts Sprinkler, Floods Cell Block: Cops

The man destroyed a camera and busting open a sprinkler head, flooding the cell block, police said.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — A Phoenixville man is facing numerous charges after an aggressive drunk incident in the borough recently.

The incident occurred on Aug. 26 at around 11:27 p.m.

An officer found the suspect, Joshua Deery, 29, asleep on the front lawn of Grace Crossing Church.

Deery was arrested for public drunkenness and put in a holding cell overnight, police said.

However, once he was behind bars, Deery became "disagreeable," according to police blotters. He damaged the security camera, and then destroyed a sprinkler head, flooding the cell block and causing significant monetary damage.

Deery was charged with additional counts of vandalism, and he will have to repay the police department for the cost of the repairs and clean up, authorities said.
