Firebird Organizer Paid For Festival With $3500 Of His Own Money

Donations are being sought via a fundraiser to cover some of the balance.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — A festival as spectacular and nuanced as the Firebird isn't free, and every year it seems there are new costs as the iconic event grows both in scope of the event and number of participants.

This year, organizer and founder Henrik Stubbe Teglbjaerg said he paid for $3,500 in expenses for the event with his own money.

To help cover the costs, a fundraiser has been launched on CrowdRise. As of Monday, nearly a $1,000 had been raised.
