Man Arrested For Assaulting 85-Year-Old Father In Phoenixville

Police said that the man punched his 85-year-old father hard enough to break several of his ribs and send him to the ER.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — A man has been arrested after hitting his elderly father hard enough to send him to the emergency room, police said.

The victim, 85, told police the incident occurred the last week of February inside their home on the 100 block of Columbia Avenue.

The son, 49-year-old Brian Turner, broke several of his father's ribs when he hit him, police said.

The victim went to the hospital when he was having trouble breathing later after the assault.

The younger Turner was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. He posted bail and was released.
