Man Parks Car On Route 23, Fights With Phoenixville Police: Cops
An intoxicated man parked his car in the middle of Route 23 and then began fighting with police when they arrived, authorities said.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — An intoxicated man recently parked his car in the middle of Route 23 and then began fighting with police when they arrived, authorities said.
The incident occurred on Dec. 28 at around 10:34 p.m. near the intersection with Route 113, police said.
The suspected, a 45-year-old man from Schuylkill Township, was sitting inside his parked car when officers arrived.

Police said as soon as they tried to administer a field sobriety test, the man began trying to fight them off.
Police then arrested the man and took him to Phoenixville Hospital for blood tests, they said. However, upon arrival, the man continued to fight the officers, allegedly threatening to kill them, police said. During the struggle, an officer's body camera was damaged.

The man was charged with driving under the influence, terroristic threats, and criminal mischief.
