'National Night Out' Is Tonight In Phoenixville

Music, food, entertainment, games, refreshments, and much more can be found at the annual free event.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Police in Phoenixville will hold their National Night Out event on Tuesday night, Aug. 6.

It will take place from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Grace Crossing Community Church, located at Gay and Church streets.

According to organizers, the annual, nationwide event aims to bring police and the community closer together to promote awareness, safety, and neighborhood unity. National Night Out showcases the vital importance of police-community partnerships and citizen involvement in the fight for a safer nation, officials said.

The event will feature live music from the Paul Wentworth band, crafts, a karate demonstration, and much more.

Representatives from the Phoenixville Town Watch, police department, Chester County Sheriff's Department, Friendship Fire Company and Diving and Rescue Unit, Phoenixville Fire Department, Trappe Ambulance, Chester County Station 77, the Army National Guard, and Air National Guard will all be on hand.

Free refreshments were donated by numerous local businesses, including Wawa, Giant, Petrucci's Ice Cream and Water Ice, Herr's Redners, and other local businesses.

Representatives from numerous local businesses and organizations will be on hand as well.
