New Monthly Computer Basics for Jobseekers Class

Phoenixville Public Library will begin a monthly “Computer Basics for Jobseekers” class in January, 2014.  This two-hour hands-on class will be held in the Library’s Community Education Room on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:30 PM and the fourth Wednesday of the month at 2:00 PM.  Mark Pinto, the Library’s Adult Services Director, and Ann Roehm, one of the Library’s computer tutors, will be the instructors. 

Topics covered in the class include:  using Microsoft Word to create and format a resume; saving a resume file and e-mailing it as an attachment; uploading and copying/pasting a resume to a job application; basic Web navigation; completing an online application; using Indeed to find job listings and apply for jobs.

The ability to use a computer keyboard and mouse is required.  The class is free and open to the public.  Limit 12 students per class.  Reservations are required.  For more information or to reserve a seat, call 610-933-3013 x132.
