No Criminal Activity After Child Luring Reports In Chester County: Cops

According to initial police reports, a suspect was driving a white van with a puppy in the front seat and asking children to come over.

WEST CALN, PA — Police in Chester County said that an investigation into multiple reports of child luring revealed no criminal activity.

According to initial reports from the West Caln Township Police Department, a suspect was driving a white van with a puppy in the front seat and asking children to come over. The van was allegedly in the area of a bus stop on the 1700 block of Telegraph Road, police said.

Police said the first reports came in at around 7:10 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

Similar reports came in at around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, when staff at the Kings Highway Elementary School told police there was a suspicious white van on Lammey Road and Compass Road.

An investigation revealed that the driver of the van on Telegraph Road was the same person as the driver on Lammey Road. The individual was interviewed and police determined that no children were approached in an inappropriate manner, and that no criminal conduct occurred.
