Outdoor Concert Season fading away?!? NOT SO FAST, my friend!

The outdoor concert season is 'almost' done... But there's still time for one, last, BLAST!

Friday October 9th & Saturday October 10th in King of Prussia
Friday October 9th & Saturday October 10th in King of Prussia

There's a chill in the air & the shadows are starting to get a little bit longer... But before we say sayonara to outdoor concerts in our area THIS year, we have one final chance to dance & sway under the sun & the moon.

That's because the Asbury Park New Jersey jam band Dogs in a Pile REFUSES to go quietly into that dark night... At least while the weather stays somewhat cooperative! They will be performing at the final Concerts Under the Stars event for TWO DAYS - This Friday and Saturday...

For the unaware, Dogs In A Pile is a band of five twenty somethings with old souls and limitless chops, and are waking people up to the timeless and ineffable joys of psychedelic-tinged jazz-funk rock n’ roll.

They are one of the busiest touring bands of today, averaging 130 live shows over the last several years. The road has become their creative engine, generating a rapidly growing catalog of original tunes for their most beloved repertoire.

Dogs In A Pile is comprised of guitarist Jimmy Law, guitarist Brian Murray, keyboardist Jeremy Kaplan, bassist Sam Lucid, and drummer Joe Babick. In addition, the Dogs In A Pile community includes the Dog Pound, the group’s extended family of fans across the country.

Besides being a lyric from the Grateful Dead song, “He’s Gone,” the name “Dogs In A Pile” is an apt description of the five-piece band’s stylistic breadth. The sonic image it conjures is a heap of storyteller Americana, bluegrass, jazz improvisation, eccentric instrumental excursions, pop-rock sophistication, and deep-pocket grooves, ranging from funk to Latin to reggae and beyond.

Friday's show is being billed as An Evening 'Wit' as the band will take center stage for a 6:00 pm start & jamming until who knows when...

Saturday kicks off at 3:00 pm and will feature performances by Inspect3r, The Reality Check Experiment and Fungkshui along with the Dogs.

Coming out of Philly, Inspect3r brings his ferocious bass production and seamlessly blends it with elements of Hip Hop and Breaks. With every track, Inspect3r pushes his listeners to immerse themselves into his various styles of unique sounds.

All we can say about the Reality Check Experiments is that they are guaranteed to blow your mind! They are a rising, independent four-piece improvisational jam band from Philly that have been praised for their highly technical musicianship and dynamic live jams garnering rave reviews from the critics and their fanbase.

Fungkshui also hails from Asbury Park, and is a psychedelic funk quartet that has a lot to offer considering their short existence. This band has quickly developed an unbreakable chemistry that is quite noticeable on stage. Seamless grooves and segues combined with mind shattering peaks make this band one to look out for. The band consists of Kyle Donovan on drums/vox, Jon Schepis on bass/vox , Jack Reed on guitar/vox, and Max Vitale on guitar/vox.
With well over 100 shows under their belt & 7+ states visited around the area, their concerts show no signs of slowing down...In just a few years time the band has opened for notable touring acts such as Particle, Kung Fu, Lespecial, Consider the Source, Pimps of Joytime as well as preforming at the Stone Pony before Umphrey’s McGees Annual summer stage show in Asbury Park. Fungkshui is continually proving that they are a force to be reckoned with.

Catch them in KoP if you can... All of these bands are destined for bigger & better this as we move forward...
