Phoenixville Democrats Sweep Borough Council Election
It was a big win for borough Democrats on Tuesday night.

Phoenixville Democrats enjoyed significant victories at the polls on Tuesday, sweeping the Borough Council Election.
In the North Ward race for council, Democrat Edwin Soto defeated Republican Chris Bauers with 61 percent of the vote.
In the Middle Ward, Jonathan Ewald, Democrat, received 61 percent of the vote, enough to beat Republican Benjamin Ohanesian.

Democrat Catherine Doherty won the East Ward, while Democrat James Kovaleski won the West.
The candidates for Constable ran unopposed. Here are the new Constable-elects for Phoenixville:

- North: Kyle Heller, Republican
- Middle: Richard Breuer, Republican
- East: David Lapera, Republican
- West: David Dunacusky, Republican
For School Board, five candidates vied for eight seats. The top five were:
- Eric Daugherty - 16.23 percent (Democrat and Republican)
- Mike Ellis 16.12 percent - (Democrat and Republican)
- Lisa Longo - 12.67 percent (Democrat)
- J. Kenneth Butera - 12.27 (Democrat)
- Kevin Pattinson - 11.10 (Republican)
