Phoenixville Fire Department Accepting Applications For Firefighter/EMT

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — The Phoenixville Fire Department is accepting resumes for a part-time firefighter and EMT.

Candidates will operate the engine at emergency scenes, in addition to performing readiness checks and routine housekeeping duties, among other duties.

Here are the requirements the department has laid out:

• 21 years of age with valid Pa. Driver’s License
• NFPA 1001 Firefighter I
• Vehicle Rescue Technician
• Pennsylvania State Fire Academy:- Pump Operations- Engine Operations- Aerial/Truck Company Operations- EVOC
• Hazardous Materials Operations
• Emergency Medical Technician, CPR, Blood borne Pathogens
• NIMS 100,200,700,800
• Criminal Background Check/Child Abuse Clearance
• Prior firefighting experience, as well as experience driving and operating apparatus
