Phoenixville First Friday To Feature Fire Prevention Week Activities
The last First Friday event of the season in Phoenixville will feature a kickoff to Fire Prevention Week.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- The last First Friday event of the season in Phoenixville will feature a kickoff to Fire Prevention Week, the Phoenixville Fire Department has announced.
The department said they are hosting an annual Kickoff to Fire Prevention Week. This Event will be held during the October "First Friday" in Downtown Phoenixville. The Fire Department will occupy the municipal parking lot at Main & Bridge Streets from 6 to 10 PM on October 7th.
In conjunction with the National Fire Protection Association, the theme of this year’s Fire Prevention Week is "Don’t Wait – Check the Date! Replace Smoke Alarms Every 10 Years." In support of this mission the Fire Department will continue to promote our Smoke Alarm Giveaway program. The Department offers to visit residents of Phoenixville Borough to test and install new batteries in existing smoke alarms. If smoke alarms are missing or outdated, the Department will install a new smoke alarm in the apartment or each level of a house. Residents may sign-up for the program during the October First Friday or by calling the Department's Administrative phone number (610) 933-9717.
