UPPER PROVIDENCE, PA — A tractor trailer crash led to Route 29 being shut down Thursday near Egypt Road.
The incident occurred late Thursday morning and also involved a sedan, police said.

The crash caused significant damage to a telephone pole and wires.
The closure extends from Egypt Road to Norwood Avenue.

Police said that the closure will be in place for "an extended period of time" and that it could extend into the evening commute.
Motorists should avoid the area and plan an alternate route.
It's not yet clear if there were any injuries.
