Chester County Road Rage Killer Sentenced

David Desper, 29, of Trainer, will spend the next 20 to 40 years behind bars for killing Bianca Roberson in June 2017 on state Route 100.

WEST CHESTER, PA – The man who killed 18-year-old Bianca Roberson in a June 2017 road rage incident will spend the next several decades behind bars.

David Desper, 29, of Trainer in Delaware County, was sentenced Thursday to 20 to 40 years in prison for killing the West Chester Rustin High School graduate, while driving on Route 100 just north of Route 202 in West Goshen on June 28, 2017.

Desper pleaded guilty to third-degree murder and possession of an instrument of crime in September. The incident spawned a four day, three-state manhunt for the suspect, who ultimately turned out to be Desper.

Desper was described by friends as a "cool, calm guy" who did not have a "snap personality," according to one of Desper's friends.

Roberson, who had just graduated from Rustin in the spring, was headed to Jacksonville University in the fall on a four-year merit scholarship to study criminal justice.
