Student Brought Unloaded Shotgun Onto Phoenixville School Property: Cops

Breaking: A student was arrested after bringing an unloaded shotgun onto Phoenixville High School property Thursday, police said.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — A student was arrested this week for bringing an unloaded shotgun onto school property, according to the Phoenixville Police Department.

Police said they discovered the shotgun inside the truck of a student on Thursday night at around 10:15 p.m.

The truck was parked in the school district parking lot.

The suspect, an 18-year-old Phoenixville Area High School student from Schuylkill Township, was arrested shortly thereafter, police said.

The suspect was sent to Chester County Prison after failing to post $500,000 bail.
