WATCH: 'Secret Santa' Gives Out $100 Bills In Phoenixville

Phoenixville police and a local businessman collaborated on a "Secret Santa" project, giving out $100 bills to five lucky recipients.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Five lucky drivers around the Phoenixville area were delivered with a surprise holiday present: a $100 bill, donated by a unnamed local businessman who has been dubbed the "Secret Santa" of the borough.

It's the second year the Phoenixville Police Department has participated in the program.

“I love this program," Phoenixville Police Chief Thomas Sjostrom said. "Being able to give $100 to someone really emphasizes the sentiment of the holiday season."

Police were given the five $100 bills and told to hand it out to "someone who may need it this holiday season." In a video posted on their Facebook page, police handed out one of the bills to Natasha M. of Spring City, who had a small child with her in the backseat.

She broke out smiling and thanked Sgt. David Gold when he explained what he was doing.
