Wedding Crashers At The Foundry, Man With 40 Unpaid Parking Tickets: Phoenixville Police Activity

The Phoenixville Police Department has had an interesting week.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Police in Phoenixville have had an interesting last few days, handling a total of 85 calls since Monday, ranging from cars being keyed, to a complaint of wedding crashers at The Foundry, to a man with 40 unpaid parking tickets.

Here's a sampling of some of these more notable calls handled by the department this week, since Sept. 11., via the department:

  • On 09/11/2017 at 12:35PM, the owner of the Jeep that was booted on September 8th for 40 unpaid parking tickets reported to District Court to set up a payment plan and have the boot removed.
  • On 09/11/2017 at 5:09PM, a 41 year old Coatesville resident was issued a summary citation for operating a moped on the Schuylkill River Trail which is a violation of Borough ordinance.On 09/12/2017 at 3:23PM, a couple crashed a wedding reception at the Foundry on N. Main Street and left before police arrived. Officer Dobry located a 23 year old Bridgeport woman nearby and she admitted to being inside the Foundry and she was given a warning for trespassing.
  • On 09/13/2017 at 8:54PM, officers responded to a hit and run accident in the 100 block of Dayton Street. An unknown driver struck two parked cars and left the scene. Please contact Officer Brown at 610-933-1180 Ext. 857 if you witnessed the crash or have information.On 09/13/2017 at 10:50PM, Sgt. Gold observed a man stumbling down Bridge Street near Church Street. The man was covered in mud and fell into a fence as the officer approached. The 40 year old Phoenixville resident was issued a citation for public drunkenness and released to a family member.
  • 3 residents reported that their cars were keyed in separate locations around town. The vehicles were parked in the 500 block of Washington, 300 block of Taylor Alley, and the 3000 block of Eland Downe. A resident also reported that his windshield was damaged while his car was parked on Quick Street near Walnut Street.
