Play Ball! Allegheny County Accepting North Park Ball Field Permit Applications

Acceptance of an application does not guarantee that a permit will be issued for the date requested.

The Allegheny County Parks Department announced that it will accept applications for ball field permits from organized baseball, softball, and soccer leagues from Wednesday, Feb. 6, through Wednesday, Feb. 13.

Applications must be filed in person by team representatives at the park offices where the requested fields are located. A certificate of insurance is required with an application for a league permit. The offices in North Park are located at 303 Pearce Mill Road.

Individuals interested in scheduling picnic games may choose from the remaining dates beginning on Thursday, March 7, 2013, when the general release of open ball field dates will begin.

Applications for these games must also be filed in person at the park offices where the requested fields are located.
