4 PA Water Parks Rank Among Nation's Best: U.S. News
U.S. News & World Report has named four PA water-themed attractions among the best places to beat the heat during the summer.

PENNSYLVANIA — Four Pennsylvania water parks apparently made quite a splash with U.S. News & World report reviewers. The website named four watery attractions across the state as being among the top nation's 36 water parks for 2023.
The website reviewed numerous water parks across the country and lauded the four as great places to stay cool on a hot summer day.

- The Boardwalk at Hersheypark, Hershey
"Amenities you can enjoy here include a hydromagnetic water coaster and the Coal Cracker flume ride," U.S. News wrote. "For more heart-pumping fun, compete against your friends or loved ones on Whitecap Racer, billed as the longest mat racing slide in the world."
- Sandcastle, West Homestead near Pittsburgh
U.S. News called this water park "a nostalgic treat."

"Though the main attraction of this former railroad yard is its 16 water slides, the property also features a wave pool, a lazy river, a pool with a mushroom-shaped waterfall and shallow play areas for young ones. Or, to get your heart pumping, try the new free-fall water slide Bombs Away, which opened in 2022."
- Waldameer & Water World, Erie
Waldameer Park Park & Water World has more than 100 total attractions. If you're looking to get wet, the water park has "a 500,000-gallon wave pool, an enormous hot tub for relaxation, and numerous water rides − some with and some without tubes," the review stated. "The Rally Racer lets you lay belly down while acing your friends on a personal raft, and the Lake Erie Dip is a twisting and turning body slide that's sure to thrill adrenaline-seekers."
- Camelbeach Outdoor Waterpark, Tannersville, Monroe County
This Poconos water playground "features more than three dozen rides and slides of all sizes and
FlowRider sessions for those who want to learn how to surf," the U.S. News review stated. "There's also a 450-plus hotel guest suites for families who want to stay a few days."
