Allegheny County Coronavirus Cases: Another Large Increase
Here are the latest statistics on the number of coronavirus cases in Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania.
PITTSBURGH, PA - Allegheny County's confirmed coronavirus cases have increased to 219 as of 11 a.m. Saturday, the county health department announced. That's up from 158 confirmed cases on Friday and 133 confirmed cases on Thursday.
Thirty-one people have been hospitalized in the county during the outbreak, up from 25 on Friday.
With 30 confirmed cases in Westmoreland County, 26 in Butler County and 14 each in Beaver and Washington counties, that brings the total number of coronavirus cases in the five-county southwestern Pennsylvania region to 303 as of Saturday morning. That's up from 226 on Friday.

There have been two coronavirus deaths in southwestern Pennsylvania, both in Allegheny County.
According to Pennsylvania Department of Health figures, Allegheny County has recorded the fourth-most coronavirus cases in the state behind Montgomery, Philadelphia and Delaware counties.

Residents of Allegheny, Butler and Westmoreland and 16 other Pennsylvania counties remain under a stay-at-home order issued by Gov. Tom Wolf. The edict is in effect until at least April 6.
