Allegheny County Coronavirus Death Toll Tops 100

Here are the latest coronavirus case numbers for Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Coronavirus has now claimed the lives of 102 people in Allegheny County, the county health department announced Saturday. That's up from 99 on Friday and 86 on Thursday.

The number of coronavirus cases in the county climbed to 1,333, up from 1,319 on Friday and 1,289 on Thursday.

Two hundred and thirty seven people have been hospitalized in the county during the outbreak, up from 235 on Friday.

With 426 confirmed cases in Beaver County, 393 in Westmoreland County, 180 in Butler County and 116 in Washington County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county
southwestern Pennsylvania region to 2,448. That's up from 2,408 on Friday and 2,355 on Thursday.

According to the state Department of Health, there have now been been 202 coronavirus deaths
thus far in the five-county region: One hundred and two in Allegheny County, 67 in Beaver County, 25 in Westmoreland County, six in Butler County and two in Washington County. That's up from 197 on Friday and 192 on Thursday.

According to state Department of Health figures, Allegheny County has recorded the ninth-most coronavirus cases in the state behind Berks, Bucks, Delaware, Lehigh, Luzerene, Montgomery, Northampton and Philadelphia counties.
