Allegheny County Coronavirus Deaths, Cases Increase
Here are the latest coronavirus case statistics for Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Coronavirus has now claimed the lives 0f 47 people in Allegheny County, the county health department announced Saturday. That's up from 43 on Friday and 38 on Thursday.
The number of coronavirus cases in Allegheny County stood at 1,009 as of 11 a.m. Saturday. That's up from 947 on Friday and 925 on Thursday.
According to the health department, the increase in cases reported today is due to a few factors. They include labs adding results to the system in batches reflecting tests conducted over several days; probable cases which will continue to increase as the department calls patients back and a large amount of testing in communal living sites.

One hundred and seventy-eight people have been hospitalized in the county during the outbreak, up from 176 on Friday and 162 on Thursday.
With 249 confirmed cases in Westmoreland County, 178 in Beaver County, 157 in Butler County and 75 in Washington County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county
southwestern Pennsylvania region to 1,668 as of Saturday. That up from 1,582 on Friday and 1,541 on Thursday.

According to the state Department of Health, there have now been been 81 coronavirus deaths thus far in the five-county region: Forty-seven in Allegheny County, 15 in Beaver County, 13 in Westmoreland County, five in Butler County and one in Washington County. That's up from 76 on Friday and 69 on Thursday.

According to state Department of Health figures, Allegheny County has recorded the ninth-most coronavirus cases in the state behind Berks, Bucks, Delaware, Lehigh, Luzerene, Montgomery, Northampton and Philadelphia counties.
All Pennsylvania counties remain under a stay-at-home order through at least April 30. Gov. Tom Wolf has ordered schools closed through the remainder of the academic year, and all non-life-sustaining businesses are closed indefinitely.
