The flu has proven to be fatal for more Allegheny County residents, the county health department reports.
PITTSBURGH, PA - Two more people have died from the flu in Allegheny County, the county health department confirmed Wednesday. That brings the death toll thus far this flu season to five.
The latest victims were in their 30s and had underlying medical conditions, the health department stated in a social media post.
While there has been a sharp decline in reported flu cases each week over the past month, the health department continues to advise anyone who hasn't yet received a flu vaccination to get one as soon as possible.
