Allegheny County Has First Confirmed Coronavirus Cases

The coronavirus has arrived in the Pittsburgh metro area.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Allegheny County has its first presumptive confirmed coronavirus cases.

The precise number is not yet known. Health officials are expected to provide details at a press conference Saturday afternoon.

The first presumptive coronavirus case in western Pennsylvania was confirmed Friday by the state Department of Health. In releasing the latest statistics on the outbreak, the health department noted a confirmed case in Washington County.
