Allegheny County Reports New Coronavirus Deaths

Here are the latest coronavirus case numbers for Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania.

PITTSBURGH, PA — For the first time in four days, new coronavirus deaths in Allegheny County were reported by the county health department. The death toll in the county now stands at 146, up from 144 on Thursday.

The number of coronavirus cases climbed to 1,739 up from 1,718 on Thursday and 1,687 on Wednesday.

Three hundred and fourteen people people have been hospitalized in the county during the outbreak, up from 313 on Thursday and 310 on Wednesday.

With 539 confirmed cases in Beaver County, 432 in Westmoreland County, 209 in Butler County and 130 in Washington County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county
southwestern Pennsylvania region to 3,051. That's up from 3,027 on Thursday

According to the state Department of Health, 272 people have died thus far in the five-county region: One hundred forty-six in Allegheny County, 71 in Beaver County, 38 in Westmoreland County, 12 in Butler County and five in Washington County.
