Allegheny County Reports No New Coronavirus Deaths

Here are the latest coronavirus case numbers for Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania.

PITTSBURGH, PA — No new coronavirus deaths occurred in Allegheny County on Monday, the county health department announced on Tuesday. For the third consecutive day, the death toll in the county during the outbreak remains at 150.

The number of coronavirus cases climbed to 1,816, up from 1,805 on Monday and 1,777 on Sunday.

Three hundred and nineteen people people have been hospitalized in the county during the outbreak. There were no new hospitalizations on Monday.

With 568 confirmed cases in Beaver County, 441 in Westmoreland County, 220 in Butler County and 138 in Washington County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county
southwestern Pennsylvania region to 3,183. That's up from 3,156 on Monday and 3,116 on Sunday.

According to the state Department of Health, 277 people have died thus far in the five-county region: One hundred and fifty in Allegheny County, 72 in Beaver County, 38 in Westmoreland County, 12 in Butler County and five in Washington County.

There were no new coronavirus deaths in the five-county region on Memorial Day.
