Allegheny County Reports Two New Coronavirus Deaths

Here are the latest coronavirus case numbers for Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Two more people have died in Allegheny County from the coronavirus, the county health department announced Saturday. The death toll in the county during the outbreak is now at 143.

The number of coronavirus cases climbed to 1,595, up from 1,582 on Friday and 1,551 on Thursday.

Two hundred and ninety-two people have been hospitalized in the county during the outbreak, up from 290 on Friday and 285 on Thursday.

With 516 confirmed cases in Beaver County, 423 in Westmoreland County, 202 in Butler County and 129 in Washington County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county southwestern Pennsylvania region to 2,865. That's up from 2,844 on Friday.

According to the state Department of Health, there have now been been 268 coronavirus deaths
thus far in the five-county region: One hundred and forty-three in in Allegheny County, 83 in Beaver County, 32 in Westmoreland County, six in Butler County and four in Washington County. That's up from 265 on Friday.
